Molars.

I thought I had experienced teething with Isaac before this point. I was wrong. SO wrong. That was nothing compared to him getting his molars. Oh my word. Even though I'm a dental hygienist I still feel kinda lost. He is not loving cold stuff as you would think. He doesnt want to eat much at all. I also dont want to keep him on pharmaceuticals around the clock. At night time though...oh its on. Bring on the motrin and tylenol. He still feels terrible though. I've tried the amber teething necklace in the past and I didnt notice a huge difference with it. I want to try it again but I can't find it since we've moved! Dang it! The only upside is he sure is snuggly. I do love that. I am ready to have my sleeping through the night baby back.

Ew.

Isaac has been so fussy the last few days. I suspected teething but I noticed that he was favoring pulling on his left ear only and it was red. I mean, I'm sure it was red from him pulling on it but you always second guess yourself when it comes to your baby! And Isaac has never really been sick. He had a small cold when he was like 4 months old but it wasn't enough to see the pediatrician. We have been so blessed to only go for well visits but today I decided to make an appointment, just in case. In fact today the front desk made a comment about how we don't look familiar. Its something to be proud of and I attribute his health to being breastfed for so long. Luckily he does not have an ear infection and he is just teething! Whew! But man was I grossed out being there. I figured if he wasn't sick already then we would both get sick from being in the waiting room! Isaac wanted to play with all of the toys and crawl on the floor which made me cringe and start sweating, haha. I of course hovered with baby wipes and hand sanitizer so hopefully he doesn't get sick now! I'm crossing my fingers that we will make it to the one year mark without another trip to the pediatrician or illness!

Growth Spurt.

In one week Isaac has learned how to sit up on his own, has started crawling, and is cutting 2 more teeth. Among the other chaos we've had going on you could definitely say it has been quite the week. On top of that Justin was sick, and I've caught whatever it was. Isaac hasn't been feeling well and I'm hoping its just teething and not the crud that's circulating around the house. I could really use a weekend to lay low and just catch up on some rest and relaxation. Isaac is supposed to take some pictures this weekend depending on if he feels ok.

Hopefully we all feel ok and get over this sickness soon!

Teething.

I absolutely love Isaac but I'm exhausted today. He is teething and everything they say is true. Those gummy ice teether rings are not working and I actually bundled him up this morning to go to the store in search of teether tablets I've heard of. They have helped. Its amazing what you will spend to help your child. I'm contemplating getting one of those amber teething necklaces and Sophie the giraffe.

I will do anything to protect him and make him feel better.
